Mike Leone - Principal, Engineering

A detail-oriented guy who loves a good challenge, Mike is a skilled software architect and engineer. Mike has been involved in every part of the software project life cycle, building embedded, web, and mobile applications for companies across the United States. Experienced with a large variety of software tools, frameworks and programming languages, Mike is in charge of all technical aspects of the company's custom application development. Shannon Lewis - Principal, Operations

Shannon started her career as an electrical engineer, but soon realized the error of her ways and moved over to the software world. Shannon has managed almost every aspect of the software development life cycle. She has over 20 years of experience as a Product Manager, Development Manager, Project/Program Manager, Customer Service Manager and Test Manager. Shannon oversees the operations of Panoptic Development including (but not limited to): Project Management, Finance and day-to-day operations. Shannon received a BSEE from Tufts University and a MBA from The Fuqua School of Business - Duke University.

Mike Mueller - Principal Software Architect

Mike is a software engineer with experience in almost every kind of development from embedded to enterprise. Mike started his software career during the dot com bubble, building software for portable Internet devices and designing Linux environments running on open source software stacks. Mike has extensive web development experience in languages like Python and Ruby, and has also built static analysis tools and low-level audio/video processing modules. Mike is in charge of the company's more complex software and systems integration projects. Mike studied Computer Science and Physics at the University of Rhode Island, earning a BS. Peter Woo - Principal, Project Planning

Peter drives the planning process for new projects, evaluating the knowledge, resources, and time needed over the course of those projects. He started his career as an embedded systems developer at a Silicon Valley consulting firm specializing in VoIP and wireless communications during the dot-com boom. He then came back to Providence and founded East Transit Technologies, a provider of software for small transportation systems. After working to get East Transit off the ground, he served as engineering manager at Public Display for three years. Peter earned an Sc.B. in Computer Science and an A.B. in Development Studies from Brown University.

Bill O'Farrell - Principal Emeritus

Bill served as founder and CEO Public Display, the predecessor to Panoptic Development, and established many of the principles and practices that continue to guide our company. He continues to serve as a key strategic advisor. Bill is a veteran entrepreneur whose first venture was The Company of Science & Art (CoSA), which developed Adobe's After Effects. CoSA was sold to Adobe Systems in 1994 and After Effects remains the most popular program for video compositing in the world. Following CoSA, Bill co-founded and was CEO of SpeechWorks (NASDAQ:SPWX), which was a spin-off from MIT and a pioneer in the speech recognition field. SpeechWorks went public in 2000 and merged with Nuance (NASDAQ: NUAN) in 2003. He also co-founded and was CEO of OpenAir.com, one of the first software-as-a-service providers. OpenAir was acquired by NetSuite (NASDAQ:N) in 2008. Prior to his various stints as founding CEO, Bill was briefly a corporate attorney in San Francisco. He attended Brown University and Harvard Law School.
